The Benefits of Using vMeeting.NET

vMeeting.NET provides a number of advantages over the traditional conference call. The table below provides an overview of these advantages.

Traditional Conference Call

vMeeting.NET

Requires an operator to schedule meetings.

Allows users to schedule meetings over the Web. Schedulers have complete control over the meeting parameters, such as who they want to invite to the meeting, meeting start time and duration.  Scheduling meetings can never be easier.

Does not inform invited users about the meeting.

Automatically send e-mails and SMS messages to invited participants about the meeting, including meeting start time and information on how to join the meeting.  You can even specify how a participant joins the meeting, either allowing participants to dial into the meeting or the meeting server to dial to the participant.

No visualbility in real time

With the video conferencing feature, participants with video end-points can now not only talk to each other but also see each other from one single screen.

Date and time are usually required at the time of scheduling the meetings.

Allows different modes of scheduling meetings, with or without knowing the exact date in advance.  You can schedule a meeting at a specific time and duration, or simply schedule a permanent reservationless meeting room, which allows you to join the meeting at any time providing the required resources are available.

One site on one screen.

Users can specify the video layout, which is the format how participants can view each other from their video end points.  All participating sites can be viewed from one screen.

No way to collaborate on documents in real time.

With the vMeeting Data Conferencing feature (refer to vMeeting Data Conferencing Help File), all meeting participants can share and collaborate on live documents while they discuss information in real time.  These documents can also be viewed before the meeting starts and after the meeting ends.
